The map shows the TPC network within the SEPSCT area, the purple area represents Consumers who are connected to the TPC network.
Consumers are those persons who are connected to The Power Company Ltd electricity lines network within the SEPSCT area and are responsible as the end customer for the payment of line charges.
The power lines network is owned by the Southland consumers in Southland and parts of Invercargill as well as West Otago. SEPSCT owns lines company – The Power Company (TPC) which distributes power to most of Southland and West Otago. The Trustees on The Southland Power Consumer Trust hold the shares on behalf of Consumers, the owners.Â
Southland Power Trust is fully owned by the Consumers connected to the network, ensuring that the benefits of reliable, efficient power services are returned directly to the consumers and community. As a consumer-owned trust, Southland Power Trust is committed to maintaining affordable electricity rates, investing in infrastructure upgrades, and providing annual rebates to its customers, reinforcing its dedication to the well-being of the Southland region.
